✧ About Me
Megan holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Visual Art from Oberlin College. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity about the many ways in which we come to understand health and the nature of the universe.
It was direct experience with the healing power of acupuncture and a strong desire to help others that led Megan to pursue her studies. As a teenager, she struggled with multiple autoimmune conditions that eventually went into remission with the help of a holistic outlook that included acupuncture and lifestyle changes. With the hindsight and clinical framework of Chinese medicine, she now understands how deeply interconnected the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of life are in shaping health and imbalance.
Megan has continued to expand her studies through travel and lineage based learning. She has studied Traditional Korean Medicine in Korea and most recently traveled to the Wudang Mountains in China, where she trained with her grandmaster in tai chi, inner alchemy, and Daoist medicine. She holds a place in the 34th generation of the Longmen (dragon gate) Daoist tradition as well as a title in the Won Buddhist tradition. All of which inform her understanding and practice.
Outside of clinical practice, Megan enjoys taking classes, cooking, meditation, spending time in nature, and at her local coffee shop. She is a compassion practitioner who understands her work as a calling to help others cultivate health and understanding as to support healing as a holistic journey.
